    Hi all,

I've decided that I've had enough of the rattling window and have downloaded the tech article. My problem is that the three hardware stores I've visited don't have the main important part of this procedure - the bloody nylon runner! No one knows what it is til I show them my printed copy of the tech article which I usually have to explain to every person that I'm referred to. Can anyone shed some light on where I can get this elusive piece? It could be a part of some other appliance, I dunno, but I'm starting to think that I should just go to Clark Rubber and ask if they can make it.

Thanks in advance. This pic is from the tech article.

Once I get the old nylon runners out, I will torture them to death til I think I hear them scream.

Was not aware you could buy the runner as it is a pressed in fit with the striker. You get the part from Nissan and you can not get the runner by itself, it comes fitted to the striker, the nylon cap though is a seperate part. The runner and striker from memory is about $27.

I was hoping not to go to Nissan for this part. But I guess if I have no other choice. Thanks for the info. Appreciate it.

What great timing! I just printed that tech off on the weekend because I will be fixing that annoying rattling window very soon when I have the door skins to upholster them and install new speakers. Kill three birds with one stone :p

Thanks K-zed. Although I've never purchased anything from overseas, the content of that site seems comprehensive. :)

If you are looking for a good excuse

to buy from overseas, be tempted to get some touch-up paint (if needed)! :zlove:
