It was/still is on the market but only because the missus doesn't like it.

That being said, I have turned down a few offers ;) told her they were way too low.

In the meantime she's given me the go ahead for a few "maintenance items" such as (highflowed) turbo replacement, "replacement" swaybars and (upgraded) front brakes...

Again, glad to hear the Z's running well, last time it drove properly for me was on the test drive, then had a hissy fit on the drive home to Canberra. Must've been all the issues happning at once then the valve got involved.

If you're ever back in Canberra with it let me know.

    Cheers,

    Sean

Had a few goodies come in over the week courtesy of Z1 for the tailshaft and ztoy for the skirts/infills:

I've already got a quote for the bodywork - $400 fitted and sprayed which will be done next week hopefully. Gonna look for a place to do the tailshaft now - any mechanic can do that sorta thing right??? Anyone know how much it should cost?

You could fit the tailshaft yourself.

    ^^ This.

Worst bit is getting the exhaust off, it's not hard to change the shaft.

All I have is a socket shifter and a jack lol, live in a communal environment - not much space to work on anything either. Don't the bolts on the tailshaft have to be tensioned up to a certain specification to prevent vibration???

If I remember right. They have hex bolts. I needed to buy the tool.

I literally just landed an hour ago... Its so good to be able to step outside and not get owned by freezing rain! Won't be here long tho, leaving Monday - still no word at work about where I could/could not possibly go after the course finishes so hopefully Perth is still an option for me.

    Mate... that would be tragic:(

That said I'm pretty sure I will be doing 1 or 2 more Canberra trips throughout the year (don't think ill be taking the zed tho), so if theres any Z events on I might come have a squiz. Are you settled in to the new place yet?

    Looking good mate!

Does the RHS skirt cover the sill? And did you get the sill either repaired or rust treated to be safe?

I love the look of those P1's!

Cheers, yeah you cant tell the dent was there at all. Even the top of the pushed in area cant be seen when the doors open due to the way the skirts cover em up so I''m pretty happy with that.

I was actually just going to find somewhere to repair as I'm not a huge fan of aftermarket skirts, but I couldnt find anywhere in Sale that would do it for under $1000 (i remember you had a $800 quote) so if i was still in Canberra it might be a different story. Even then tho, i'd lose the use of the car for quite some time for that work. And when I heard ztoy was making Kaminari copies i thought id check to see how much it would cost all up.

I thought the Kaminari's would be fantastic as they have a very stockish look. So I asked ztoy how much theyd cost (with infills) and it came to $415 delivered to my door, then got a quote from the panelbeaters who offered to get rid of the rust and give it a quick once over to prevent it coming back and fit/paint the skirts for $400.

Ie $815 all up, took 4 days for skirts to arrive another 4 for them to fit and paint :zlove:

    Awesome, sounds exciting
