this is a pic of the gear stick from a zed sold by J-spec Imports dubbed 'ab-flug' whatever that means. i thought this gear stick mod was awesome. haven't seen any write-ups or mention of this mod anywhere though.
gear knob haha looks like a ferarri one, think you should only go something like that if you go the 6 speed gbox from a 350 or something, otherwise its gonna have a few 2 many slots and look a bit redundant. so simple, quickshifter!
Too many slots???? 5 forward gears + 1 reverse = 6 gears total. this Ab-Flug kit has 6 slots. looks perfect to me. :wacko:

Blipman has one, they are about $1500 to buy I think** He tried to get them copied I think but was more trouble than what it was worth.
Believe it's no longer available Correct, it was an Ab-Flug accessory. I e-mailed them a year or more ago enquiring after this same item and was told it is no longer available. I also contacted "Fuzzy" at Ooparts, the Pentroof agent, as a lot of their bits are made by Ab-Flug and same story. If anyone has any other avenues, let us know.
Yep I've got one They were made by Ab-Flug, they called it a Formula Gated shifter, I don't think they are in production any more. Hideously expensive when they were, I got mine from stama300 after his car's demise, it came uninstalled in the boot of his car when he imported it. I looked into having a clone made, whilke it's not incredibly difficult it was going to need a run of about 20 to be cost effective which I wasn't prepared to finance. Ben

gee Blipman, i'd love to get a hold of that kit i understand that by having more of these built may lessen the 'uniqueness' of one that already has it, but i'm sure that, ultimately, there's no real issue when it comes to other zedders wanting a similar-looking mod. As the saying goes, each to his own, and so not everyone would go for it either. There's more to a unique zed than it's gear stick, wouldn't you agree? Besides, the more a look at it, the more i want it! :zlove:
