    hi all,

what's the best gas/freon to use for the z32 a/c system? i've read about Freeze12 from TT.net and wanted to know if this is recommended by others.

i've had an a/c compressor reconditioned and regassed recently but not as cold as it should be. obviously to do with the old a/c system in the z32 and the currently-available-and-legal gas used for it, but i'm looking for one that produces eskimo-cold air for our a/c systems?

the coolest temp mine has gone down to is 16-17 degrees. at best it should be around 12?(correct me if i'm wrong)

thanks guys (& girls) for any feedback, and in the meantime, i'll refill the vents with icepacks

    cheers.

    Blipman Beer hooves totally work

R134a is the only gas legal in Australia

It's not as dense as R12 which is the old gas you would have had, so it doesn't cool as well. Freeze12 sounds suspiciously like R12 which is not legal in Australia.

Using a slightly lower charge of 134a

will lower its temperature output.Too low causes loss of efficiency . An out put of 16-17C in a Zed is good seeing how big a heat sump it is.
Freeze12 is FR12 a legal three part gas blend
    with no gain over 134a.
