Recently my 300zx TT 89, has been stripped (front end). And we've managed to put it all back together. Just can't figure out where this goes.

As shown in the picture, its connected to the engine. It's a vacuum, sucks in air... but the hose itself smells like petrol. Ive put a screw in there to block it. Some have told me it's for the blow off valve.. but i just want to make sure the car is safe to drive.

Another question is, i had done a full service, radiator, engine, diff, sparkies, breaks, engine compression test, etc.
And now my car is pinging... what can be the problem? and how to fix it?

Last question, after driving the car around the block (after we have put everything back together) this light showed up on the dash:

    What does this indicate?

    Thanks in advance

can't be sure about the vac line as there is way too many. Prob from some kind of boost controller that's mabe been removed? Also possible vac line to bov or any other number of vac/boost inputs...

Light is low level washer fluid.

vac line that has a bolt in it looks to be for the carbon cannister (considering it smells like petrol). Look underneath the foam covered rubber pipe on the passenger side, radiator end. There should be two 4mm pipe outlets below it.

As mike said, light is for washer bottle reservoir being empty. For a 2+2 refill at in the engine bay, drivers side front inner guard. For a 2+0, refill in the hatch area, passenger side

Yes I think this is the line that you extend to the carbon canister...

I reckon that gold nipple on the first picture has to be connected to the BOV/recirc. Not sure though why yours is T'd...

    PVR Control solenoid valve

can also go to vacuum gauge and AIV control solenoid i think as well as stated you might have a manual boost as well but these tend to run off the balance tube unless its full already

I thought that nipple went to the a.i.v. and when you delete it it then goes just onto the pipe nearest. Yours is facing forward and they usually face back. I don't make a lot of sense but a picture would help. I'm not to sure why it is T'ed. Maybe search a.i.v delete for a photo.

I still are unable to find a photo but it goes from the nipple to the fuel pressure regulater or dampner without a T on mine after i did the delete. Dam picture would make so much easier.
