    Need some sound advice.

9.9999995 time out've 10 I park the zed in neutral.

Unfortunately tonight I didn't and turned it over with the handbrake on.
Around 2 secs before I realised, car lurched forwards heard a weird noise I can only describe as clunk.

Threw it in neutral and started her up.
I now have a hunting issue that turns into an almost stall and I'm scared to drive it anywhere in case I've done some damage.

My question is what likely damage can you cause from turning it over in gear with handbrake on? I've done it on the Scooby Doo heaps of times but that's slightly bullet proof compared to the zed.

    Thanks guys

    Rob

There shouldn't really be much stress on the engine doing that, it would be between the flywheel and the brakes. My best guess is the torque of the starter motor rocked the engine stretching a mount and popping an intake pipe off giving you a vac leak. Otherwise maybe you fried a fuse or some wiring?

I could be way off but I can't imagine what else would break from that, usually either the starter doesn't work or the handbrake isn't strong enough to hold it. Could be a coincidence and something else has failed.

    Ok

That makes me feel 100% better. It does feel sorta like air leak too.

Think I may pike on work this morn and check all my air / vac lines

Kudos, respect and mad boy band gay love to fists...

Purring like a baby sabre tooth tiger again :D

I honestly was in worse case scenario mode thinking it jumped a tooth on the timing belt.

Vac hose popped. Plain as day all I needed to do was open the bonnet.
    Lmao.

Haha, its nice when I can be optimistic and right.

Probably a good idea to check and maybe replace your engine mounts unless the intake pipe doesn't have much purchase in which case you should change that. You don't want to have the same thing happen when you're driving aggresively.
