hey all! just wanted to get your opinions on pricing... looking a getting a cat-back system 2.5" mild steel with magnaflow 14807 mufflers. i have been quoted $1350 fitted... i have been searching around but havent really found anything regarding price. taking into account that these mufflers are RRP450 each, am i getting ripped of paying $450 for the pipe + fitting for mild steel? your comments would be muchly appreciated!
Well it all depends... Is the exhaust going to be mandral bent? If so, that isn't too bad if including the cost of mufflers.
yeh mandrel bent and including mufflers... total price for everything fitted is $1350. so when you say not TOO bad you mean i should be paying less?
Not at all... That is the ball park price you'll pay. All depends on quality of workmanship. I paid that much recently for my cat back system (3") in mild (with SS mufflers).
mine cost roughly 2500 all up...parts, labor, installation etc but mine is custom right down to the mufflers - turbo back stainless steel with highflow SS cats depends how deep your pocket is really lol
my pockets are quite light at the moment so the cheaper the better... without compromising too much obviously! dont need anything too performance wise, just something thats got a good deep note and not too loud. thanks for the comments guys appreciated. i'm just waiting on a few other places to get back to me price then i'll get the show on the road. mmm quads :zlove:
I went to willeton exhaust on monday and got mine done for $200 with mandrell bends in 2.5" but im good mates with the bloke there but I supplied the 14807's mufflers to him as well. just get in on the group buy for the magnaflow's
I got quoted $1250 ish from Mettams for turbo backs in stainless steel with generic mufflers if that helps (and I provided cats). But, there's a group buy for magnaflow mufflers on right now. Get in it ;P
There are, what, 6 or 7 different mufflers being bought. Not as bad as a GB on Veilside haha. Besides, people aren't going to know all the rumbles are the same This is one of those things I don't mind having to share.
my thoughts exactly... there isnt much else out there in the way of twins from what i've seen! even less in dual 4" outlet... everything is 3.5" and smaller. too small imho
Well, only me and one other getting the 14861's. And they are hot. Love the curved look and the oval tips. Oval is the new round.
my whole system will cost about $2100 from turbos to tips with the group buy front pipes and dumps and the rest of the system in 2.5 mandral bent 304 stainless steel with metal cats and quite mufflers. That cost also has included buying the tig welder to make it
no one i have ever cruised with in melb,but id say 10% of the zeds that now have your mufflers chris lol
