Just post your interest here guys, im aware there is another member selling fibreglass copies of these and other styles, im only posting these as another option for the guys who might not like the idea of fibreglass.

These are made out of ABS(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) which is a hard plastic which is usually used on things such as stock mirrors, wheel covers etc.. obviously they are paintable and will be a perfect fit. google it to find more info about it.

The price would probably be around $120 Delivered Aust. Wide

    The two styles available are:

Note: The ones supplied will have the vent holes cut out

yep, these are unpainted.. simply scuff them with sand paper, plastic prime, and paint.. same as you would paint any of your interior trim.. no body-work or body-filler would be needed on these at all, they would have a perfect "like stock" surface..

these are the only styles the supplier has available apparently, im looking into if they can get other styles.

as for when you can get them, i can have them within 3 or so weeks... however, ide need definate numbers and so on, as these probably wont be an ongoing product line for Ozkits.. so perhaps ill organise a group buy when i have more final details and prices.. however, if you are interested i urge you to please post your interest here.

looks like a good product, certainly better than fibreglass, but a couple of questions
1 have you seen these or fitted one
2 has any one bought one that can comment on the fitment and quality or have you just been told they are good by the seller:confused:
there are many ill fitting, bad quality fibreglass nose panels on the market, and a few of us have seen them and im sure people would be happy to see a better quality nose available ;)
i could be interested in both of them myself ???

True, are you able to check they do fit the 300zx well? Maybe get the supplier to send you a sample? If they do fit well, I'll get one of the 2nd type.

i am somewhat confused ..... am i correct in

assuming that you do not have samples/pics of the actual product you are planning to sell in a group buy .. and that your supplier will copy the models shown but with "cut-outs" incorporated into a revised design ...

... i think that some further clarification would also be appreciated as to whether you have actually seen and have fitted your supplier's model to a 300zx.. some assurance/practical evidence on the "perfect fit" statement would assist ...

Intereseted in the first one as long as the quality is up there with Gonzo's. I do prefer the ABS to Fibreglass.

:stupid: .... i agree...would be good to actually see a fitted one....because it would take a lot to get us to go from gonzo to these because im aware that gonzo's work is very very good...........

There seems to be 2 problems with fibreglass.

It breaks easily on impact - but can be patched up again

Flat panels do not stay flat - they corrugate. Sorry Gonzo, but your nose panels do.

What are the pro's and cons of ABS ?

Do not shatter on impact - cannot be patched up ?

    Flat panels stay flat ?

Bent panels can be heated and bent back ?

Is there a problem with paint sticking ?

You can patch up plastic but usually not worth it, better to buy a new nose if damaged. And paint will be fine. there's a whole range of paints specially made for plastics.

plastics need a plastic primer and a flexing agent in the paint, theres nothing special about the paint ;) ;)

    BAD NEWS!

ok guys, i have some terrible news.

These will NOT be for sale any more..

reason being is that the supplier has now turned around and said, he only wants to deal if i order a shipment of 200 nose panels which is far to high an investment for my interest. only reason i initially offered these is for the few people who did not like fibreglass.. there is definately not enough market for me to order 200 nosepanels..

so guys, im very sorry about this, but this deal has just died. more business for gonzo :) lol
