Ok so im gettn error 34 detonation sensor circuit ..
Does that cause boost limitation or flat spots in rev range or low or erratic idle or any of the other strange things going on with my car ???

Boost limitation, and reduced ignition timing. Shouldn't effect idle.

A popular temporary fix into tricking your ECU into thinking the DET sensor is operating is by bypassing it to clear the code. You can do this by reading this article -http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/detonationSensor/detonationSensor.html

NOTE that the det sensor is there for a reason, to listen detonation within your engine. If your car is actually detonating / pinging and you have the bypass in place the ECU won't be able to adjust the timing as it would to protect your engine. If the sensor itself has melted or died because of long age it is a big job to replace it as it has to be in such a difficult location with your engine in. There are some detonation sensor relocation kits available such as the one on offer here that may give you a little more peace of mind: http://www.yugobernie.com/det_sensor.html

that is one way of doing it but you really need the det sen active

As previously mentioned, that should only be used as a very temporary fix. I hope it wasn't because the cost of a new det sensor was too pricey.
If so, this may help - http://www.amazon.com/2206030P00-Frontier-Pathfinder-Villager-Infiniti/dp/B002Q4617O

Are you absolutely sure the Det Sensor has failed? Have you confirmed the integrity of it's sub harness, connectors and it's continuity back to the ECU.
You will get a code 34 if the ECU does not see a signal from the Det Sensor. Lack of that signal can come in various forms and not necessarily from a failed sensor.
You could save yourself a whole heap of problems and money to confirm this first instead of jumping too eagerly on the 1000k ohm bypass mod.

I bought a brand new sensor and harness and have even changed engine to a rebuilt one and I still get error 34 knock sensor :bash: Only thing I havent changed is the engine efi harness . Although I have changed almost all the plugs etc .

Sounds like you need to do a continuity check on that circuit to ensure there's a good signal from the sub harness to the ECU. You may have replaced the knock sensor and sub harness needlessly.

I Replaced due to engine rebuild . Didint feel happy putting in crappy harness and sensor . Thanks for the tip , will check continuity from plug to ecu .
