i installed a gizmo EBC it was 320aud from autobarn, it is very very easy to install only 4 wires to connect and it has 4 memory settings and can also control gain, holds boost perfectly.

Manual....... this one from Bone's group buy ...
    http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=273989
    :zlove::D

    I had an Apexi then a Profec, then .... another 3 or 4 EBC's.

None of the EBC's did the job I wanted from them

Too dificult to alter settings in car, try holding & reading
the manual and driving at the same time and entering in the correct sequence of buttons to adjust it by a couple of psi, sure you can have "preset" settings and can jump from one to another but the presets are never 100% spot on for that section your pounding away at !
Loss of settings every time a battery disconect happened, so again out with the manual and sit there re-doing the settings when I could be DRIVING !
I found even with a select couple of settings I was still having issues with traction loss and there wasnt a damn thing I could do except roll off the throttle.... cant just "dial it down" without having to take ya eyes off the road and pressing the right sequence of buttons
    Blah blah blah.....

yet the manual does all I want it to, ............ EASILY !:D
No loss of preselects, no stages of performance, can be dialed off in flight without taking my eyes off the road, its just way to simple to use !
switch it either on or off at the flick of a switch....
adjust boost as easily as adjusting the volume on the stereo
    :D

the EBC requires about as much attention as trying to text during driving.... the MBC is so simple to adjust in comparision

In reality I have a 'feel' for what my car / engine is doing on the road & I can make the simplest adjustments for each and every differing section I'm punting along as I go, if I was any less of a driver then I'd probably let an electronic gismo take control of what MY car / engine is doing !

IMO .... those that worry about spike should buy a EBC.... those that want full and flexable control over their boost and dont panic too much about the occasional spike should run a MBC.
I know a few on here, like myself, that are not stressed out over a 1 or 2 pound spike happening occasionally for short bursts ....
yeah yeah yeah , that will open the flood gates for the blouses to hoist their skirts up about how bad it is for the motor blah blah blah..... well relax, cause we do it regularily and to date ..... so far so good !
    ( touch wood ) ;)

Biggest pro/con I've noticed.... the first thing the cops ask is .... "where's the boost controller hidden?", then they look in the glovebox, under the seat, under the dash.....
Totally missing a simple switch !
    :bow2:

The apexi I had was the best EBC.... limited , but the best !

The manual I've got now is brilliant, absolutely shits all over the Apexi !

    Price wise......
    over $600 for the Apexi
    V's
    under $100 for the manual

which reminds me..... for sale ProfecB ... yours for a $100 ....... then I can get another manual controller for the
    other zed
    :D

Its big dollars Si, but you gotta gor for the Apexi AVCR, it has heaps of usefull functions and displays, injector duty cycle is one of my favourites.

Its also good for diagnostic work since you can see trhottle position etc.
