What is the diameter of the main pipe? The pipe I refer to is the single pipe after the two smaller ones join into one??? It looks to be 2.25" or maybe 2.5". Can you please confirm? I am very interested and will likely purchase, but want to confirm size. Thanks Ben
Supposed to be 2.5 but it's not quite. I'll have a set anyday and I'll measure them... suspect they're 2 3/8's or 2 4/10ths's... will get a precise milemetre measurement. But still, big enough to flow 700+ horsepower easily! Cheers.
I believe... ...the test pipes replace your catalytic converters.... so you'd have to fit them to the new pipes. I think might bolt up just before the cats but if I remember right the engine side of the cat is welded in place with a flange just after. Cheers,
Do the x after the cats. Simon had some x pipes that were real cheap a while back. these would fit to the flange and you've nearly got a complete turbo back exhaust
if you are going to cut the front pipes in half for cheaper postage then if they are cut smack bang in the middle then added an x-pipe into those front pipes. I have one of those magical cat convertors that fit inside the dump pipes
No need. Packaged trimmed down enough to go USPS with engine pipes uncut. Price is $420AUD for dumps and test pipes. Think I can get two more sets for now. Cheers,
Hi Egg, have you confirmed the diameter of the dump pipes and the front pipes too? They seem a bit small from the all the research I have done, but that was based on single dumps, not divorced units, but even the front pipes from dump to cat, are they 2.5" or are they smaller?
Who has had their's... fitted and what price did it come to, or are they easy enough to put on yourself? After a chat with an exhaust place he reckons about $600 to fit them I am willing to give it a go myself but dont have access to a hoist so moving around underneath the car may be a problem.
Dump pipes hey paul i got them dumps they are good, to anyone thinking of buying them these are a bargain, and paul u reckon i could get a set of those test pipes??? should of told me about them i would of snapped them up anyways drop us an email an let me know how much i owe ya for them cheers regards adam
When would you be looking for the cash for these?? or is it a deposit/balance on delivery type of deal? I REALLY want a set, but will have to go without food in order to do it
Just chill for a couple weeks. Guy has just gone to China and will be away for about a week/ten days on business. Should be able to organise some more when he returns. I have one set of test pipes on route but it could be an issue getting more as they were a tiny bit oversized. will keep you up to date.
Don't have an engine pipe yet. But the flange appears to be 60mm and the pipe goes right into the flange so makes it a few mil less. 2 3/8'ths... half way between 2.5 and 2.25. Cheers,
geez if there are any left let me know I'm very interested in a set of dumps and front pipes. Please e-mail me at chedreman@hotmail.com if there are any still available. Cheers
He's on his way to the airport right now.... ...but he just now said I can have another six sets. Due back 2/12/2004 so I'll sort another order then.
that's a very nice TIG weld on the 2 3/8" flange I'm glad I'm getting a set now. I might need to mill a bit out of the splitter section since my turbo exhaust exit has been bored out to be another 10mm bigger or so for the larger turbine wheel. The little girl is growing up Very cute doggie.
Buying them is the cheap part but getting them fitted is a different story which will require you to starve for god knows how long! It costs more to have them fitted than it does to purchase them  Any one have an idea of the time required to fit them? Are these Megan Racing dump pipes?
Well... $600 was RIDICULOUS. I'd pay a couple hundred tops for fitting. Megan Racing? Ummm, don't think so. I just call em Mike Dupree clones. Cheers,
Yeah maybe a lil... ...but as we have turbos it wouldn't be like an NA and extractors, plus the positioning of course would deaden the sound. Could maybe turn it into a screamer type dump with a lil handywork. Cheres,
