If you are definitely interested in a digital display for your car contact me.... Ideally you will have a working knowledge of electrical gauges and mounting sensors on the one hand or OBD I / II on the other hand I will be looking for one or two folks to assist.
Well I can swing a spanner and know the absolute basics of programming if you don't get a better offer. Happy to learn new things although my hands aren't steady enough for messing with modern circuit boards.

I am good at micro circuit building. I actually had this idea a long time ago. I was going to put a 7 inch lilliput touch screen (or two if they could fit) in the cluster area and run a SFF computer off the ODB1 port for the gauges. So if you need help.:zlove:
Might be able to help with this as I'm planning something similar for my e30 working with an electrical engineer mate. Is the setup going to be run via an arduino style chip or intercepting signals from obd1/11 equipped diagnostic ports? I know s2 z32 ' s are obd2, do s1 run any kind of obd 1?
I was not intending to make a new setup, re use existing products where possible. The world is full of part built setups which would be fun and I have the ability to make it (some folks on here know that background) but I don't have the time for that as I know what it takes to make a product. It may be that with some input we could create something... never thought of it in that way... Maybe I create a working group on this, anyone interested PM me your contact details and listing of what your experience etc
