any inputs leading to the DIY of replacing the dash led light would be deeply appreciated. just got blue one today. hope come up alright.
take off the panel above cluster , 2 screws... squeeze hand behind cluster and un screw the light fittings from cluster.... remove globe from light fitting, and replace with led... and put it bak...when you turn the lights on if its not on then you have screwed it on the wrong way, turn it 180 degrees and screw back in... pix when you finish :zlove:
what about that metal cover with bracket and two screws . remove that one as well? take out two screws and just pull up? i dont want to wiggle too much though..
should be able to take them out without removing that. but if your hands are just too big then ye you can remove it...
just bought the HID kit from the guy chilli got it from and we were talking about these ledz and its dispersion.....obviously to eliminate the bright spots we have three options: 1. Normal LED-sand paper the plastic covering(i dunno but it may decrease intensity) 2. Inverted style LED 3. Multi directional LED....ie. 4 LEDz in one bulb facing different directions.... what method is the best?
These are what i have just installed.multi directional BLUE leds ..should have chosen other colour. blue and red needle dont really match..they wont both be in perfect focus!!
Option 3, accept that you should be using 5 X LED units(each globe replaced by 5 LEDS, four of which face outwards, one faces up).:zlove::zlove:
I didn't post a link because..... A: I knew that you had posted this pic a few days ago, B: I couldn't be bothered reposting the pics & links that I have posted dozens of times over the past couple of years(yes, even I can run out of patience).:zlove:
