where in the world can i get ones that fit my car. they are supposed to be illegal in australia as i have been informed by Fulcrum and Pedders Suspention Stores. anyone have any old ones they want to sell or where could i locate some brand new ones in the world. here's the thing my 300zx just had a body kit fitted, it was sitting at 65mm off the ground and i'v had its springs changed to standard king springs which brought the hight up to 95mm, still need that 5-25 mm to make it street legal(blody police keep raping me) or higher so i dont have to worry about these stupid speed bumbs in australia. or botteming out on drive-ways and things. if anyone could shed some light and post a link or contant info of a store or something where i can get my hands on these COIL SPRING SPACERS i would be so greatfull. Kind regards Shaun.
I looked into this Shaun and ended up using a second top strut mount plate with 5mm spacing gasket between the two plates. This arrangement lifted the front at the bar by a good 10mm. Any more spacing this and you need longer studs.
You generally use packing/insertion rubber cut to shape between the shocker assembly and the chassis to fix this. In Victoria you can get the rubber sheet from Purple Pig. It isnt very expensive.
i know its a big ask but would you like to do it for me ill pay you for it. if you could send it to me that would be awsome i will pay.
No, I just hate Purple Pig, those tossers nearly got me a $100k EPA fine for selling me 8" hose that wasn't pressure tested!
It comes in sheets. Ask them what thicknesses it comes in. I've only bought 3mm before, but that was always for flange gaskets on water pipelines.
space it out or upgrade to coilover suspension. the g4 coils on sale at justjap are a decent price, you get to choose your spring rates too. that way you can scrape on whatever you like and make it 4x4 spec when needed
No, you heard right... We where using it for a sewerage pump station bypass connection. Specifically asked for hose and bower couplings rated to 600kPa, they got delivered (late and overcharged), we put them into service and just as my guys on site were packing up the hose ruptured, luckily within the well. If it burst above ground there would have been 50L/s of raw sewerage running into peoples houses, down stormwater and into the canals at the Gold Coast. Nothing like the front page of the paper to kill business Luckily it didn't happen and we where on site at the time. I gave them a earful and a half We where running it at half the supposed rated pressure when it let go, there may have been a surge down the line but we had a check valve as protection.
No probs. Insertion rubber can be up to 15mm thick if needed. Comes in lots of thicknesses. So you wont have any issues fixing your ride height providing you dont run out of stud length on the shocker towers.
