I am need of a cigarette lighter metal sleeve cause my car only came with the clear outer illumination ring and the cigarette lighter knob thing whatever you call it. So I can't charge ipod etc. Was wondering if this would work and fit perfectly into the stock illumination ring and fit the plug without any wiring throwing away the green illumination ring that comes with it. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CIGARETT...hicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item53e6b6a0b5&_uhb=1 Also my illumination ring is a bit loose, will this be resolved with the metal sleeve or is some clip broken (can't see any damage though).
You can get whole replacement units with and without illumination rings from most auto stores a bit cheaper. Might be easier. CL12B is the batterylink part number for one with no light if it helps.
