Any consensus on the use of these nose panels in the rain? In a heavy downpour wont the water pass through the grille along with the air and soak the pod filter? Causing possible water in engine?
I think most of the water that will get on your filter while driving will come throught the front bar. Normally pod filters are angled down so rain through the grille will mostly only wet the Y peice and AFM. My car came with the vented nose and I have only experienced a problem with a wet filter twice in seven years and that was in rain so heavy I had to slow down to 40km/h to see. I don't think the vented nose contributed to the problem either.
Would you be able to make me up one of these? http://www.photodump.org/stored12/front_3qtr_elwood.jpg As I realise that it is not currently part of your line up. If not, no worries as I will just take one of your other noses
on the off chance if you read this gonzo would you be able to give me a rough idea on what might be involved in knocking up a new design?
pm him mate.... will be way easier for you to contact each other and at least you know it will pop up on his screen the next time he logs on
