Why is my CZP one peice so DAMM noisy. It rattles and vibrates all over the place at low rpm. How do i fix it? It SOOOO BAD!

Can i take the CV joint out?

If my diff has backlash, is it easily fixed? Will it damage the Diff.

My car has toooo much rear camber to fit my rear wheels.
If i buy lower camber arms from Unique. How much (if any) will it bring it in by.

Maybe it is out of balance?

If you recently removed it, did you take notice of where it was connected, or did you just drop it and then put it back however you wanted?

1 peices dont matter how you put them back...
make sure its bolted to the diff correctly and hasnt loosened off or improperly bolted in
no you cant take the CV joint out as the GB is on a rubber mount and will bounce aruond ever so slightly that the cv joint does actually does get used

if you get adjustable camber arms you can adjust your camber a SHIT LOAD

    HUH???
wat do you mean similar to the na's??
tailshaft is a tailshaft... you can go back to a 2 peice but need to make sure the centre bearing is still good and if it was rebuilt then you need to mkae sure it was put together properly

My Z1 steel 1-piece vibrates like crazy under load as well. It's fine though, everything was installed properly and it was fine above 2000rpm

My custom made one-piece from Hardie Spicer has never given the slightest trouble or vibration during the several years that it has been in my car.
It all comes down to quality build, IMHO.:zlove:

Check the runout of the shaft as per the service manual and adjust to see if that helps. If no good take it to a driveshaft place and get it balanced.

if it vibrates then that is no good at all. That can end up shagging the bearings in the gearbox.

Try getting the whole assembly balanced. also eyeball it up and check its not sitting at a funny angle, sagged gearbox mount or aftermarket engine mounts can change the angle. and that angle is very critical with one pieces

Yes, forgot to add check gearbox mounts and also Diff mounts. Fixing my diff mounts made a big difference to the vibration in my last zed.

Ay man take your tailshaft to your local diff place and get them to take the CV off and put a uni on ballence it up properly and machine you up an aly adapter to suite. personally a CV on a tail shaft is a overkill they were designed for FWD cars back in 1926 and thats where they should stay.

personally i think cv joints on a tailshaft are fine. they are used on alot of high end cars these days with no issues at all.

These situations always come up with one piece tailshafts. 300zx's didnt come out of the factory with a balancing problem and in my opinion owners are too quick to undo alot of nissans good engineering.

I had stock engine mounts and a brand new Nismo gearbox mount. Why does it rattle only under load at low rpms though?? There was no rattling or vibration above 2krpm at all. Hopefully it's not present when I start her up again with the new heart.

    Yes its only under 2k.
But my car never gets over 3k around town so its a annoying problem.
Combined with the diff backlash and gearbox noise its terrible.

    All mounts are new.

I think the problem with the cv join in our car is that the entire shaft can move laterally.

In a 2 piece only the cv moves, because its held in place by the center bearing.

Im almost tempted to put an auto back in with the original shaft.

The car was much more tollerable to drive with an auto.

I suspect that your G/Box problems and your Diff backlash have far more effect on your perceived Tail-shaft vibration than you give them credence for.
