    Sounds like the battery

shouldnt be dropping to 1 volt while cranking, sounds like the battery is dead for sure.

My battery did the same clicking noise

when it was dead. Problem was it was jump started too many times and probably sulphated.Time to get one of those odyssy or optima ones :) I'll be getting one of those soon enough

I expect to have an Optima for sale, just >>

need to make sure my new battery works. Will post tomorrow. The Optima is only 6 weeks old, bought from black_tt in SA as part of his ongoing group buy. Reason for sale is that local battery company agreed my old battery was kaput and should be replaced under warranty, so now I have 2 new dry cell batteries.I will fit the new replacement battery tomorrow to make sure all is OK, then the Optima will be put up for sale in the forum for $250 unless you contact me otherwise. If my new one is OK, I can deliver the Optima tomorrow.PS - the other new battery is an Exide Orbital and could also be for sale; but as that is a replacement for a failed one, the Optima may be the better buy.
