QLD Brisbane West Cruise: SATURDAY 11TH June

    Hey folks. Been talking with RoryZ for AGES about taking people on a cruise around some of the lesser-known twisty roads in Western Brisbane. Planning to meet somewhere in Jindalee area at 10am, maybe meet others at Kenmore Maccas, go from there. Wanting it to be not so much a race, but a fun day to drive on some challenging roads that don't actually lead anywhere, so you'd probably never have another excuse to drive on them! ;) Plus that makes them fairly quiet too. :D Including driving and photos/videos, guesstimating it should take about 2 hours, maybe stop at Nando's/Maccas back at Kenmore for lunch if people want to.

    Here's the kind of territory we'll be heading into: :cool:

    Shame Greg, has been ages since we've caught up! I know there's a few other members who are interested but can't make it on that date, might have to do it again sometime later this year.

    EDIT: But that's no promise, so everyone else, come along on this cruise, dammit! :)

    Why arent you at Lakeside doing the open sprints. You are not going to improve sitting in Nandos/Maccas

    I will be back there sometime soon I hope - but don't have the $200+ needed each time to be there regularly. :( Hope you slip under the 60secs this time!

    LOL - just get drunk Friday night and give your turbos the workout they deserve! :D

    Like I said in first post, isn't a race and the roads don't really go anywhere, so you won't get lost - just find us coming back towards you.... :br:

    Its a mates bday on the Sat so I cant just change the night I get drunk.

    Going up hills and around corners still requires turbos whether you go fast or not.... they are dead and I need to make them last

    A guy I work (m-f) with has a weekend job (manager) at Nandos Kenmore, I will see him this morning and see what he can do..

    I might come along,

    depending on a few things.....

    the car's in the spray shop getting a new front fitted this week, hopefully I can get the car back in time to get my guards rolled, suffering from a bit of wheel rub with my new wheels and it would be way too much for country roads.

    Rain is predicted for Sunday. :( Prefer to keep it on Sunday if I can, but who could/couldn't make the cruise if it was shifted to same time Monday (Queen's Birthday public holiday)? We'll know for certain closer to the day if Sunday morning's going to be dry enough.
