okay. here is the problem. The zed hates cold starts. you have to pump the pedal every so often for the first 2 minutes or it dies. and then when it gets warm, the idle is screwed. it keeps hunting when you idling. doesn't matter if your in park or in gear. its an auto by the way.

so the iaa is new, the ficv has been cleaned (twice) tested and is confirmed as good. the timing is good, the tps is good. the afm is good (or at least im thinking so, cause there is no problem when cruising or on WOT) no boost leaks, injectors are good (cleaned and tested) plugs are new.

so i'm out of ideas and need to fix this problem asap. so write up if you got an idea

have you actually tested the compression or just hoping>>??
if your not sure if its AFM, borrow one and test run it for a little bit.. only way to be sure... no point working with maybe's and "if i dont check it, it cant be that"kinda solutions... especially if your out of ideas...

    stock ecu or chipped??
wiring all good, not brittle and cracked?? connectors on EVERYTHING good??

compression has been tested and is good. don't know bout the ecu. i'm going to borrow on to find out if thats the problem. wiring is good. all connectors have been changed and the loom has been checked.

i thought about that. but wouldn't that cause you problems when you get on the WOT

no not really, im betting ur fuel reg is leaking , causes really bad over fueling at idle.

easier to pull off the vac tube to the reg , any fuel coming out its buggered.

Check resistance across terminals. Should see 60-70 ohm. Also remove and look thru it. In cold temp, the valve should be open. I'm guessing yours is jammed affecting both cold and hot idle.

When you rerouted all the wiring under the plenum, did you touch the VTC wiring at all?

Your iacv, although it works, it does not react how they usually do. It is a little strange in what it does. And when it hunts, there is no variation in Consult to indicate a sensor issue.

Pull all the connectors at the back of the engine and make sure they all go to the right pins in the ecu. Cold start for me was not too bad, wasnt great but it was live-able. You starting it quite a few hours earlier in the morning whenit is a bit cooler seams to be terrible from what you say.

I am thinking you got either the iacv or iaa wiring connected to one of the vtc solenoids.

Fuel pressure is steady, no fuel vapour in plenum, no smoke.

Edit: Air reg has been replaced with new Mark.

by vtc solenoids i take it you mean the cams. if so then i did not mess with them. they still have the original plug on them (clean and re tensioned

ckeck the vac line to the fuel pressure reg sometimes the diaphragm leaks and causes it to over fuel
