boot weight

    removing my boot panel under the hatch found a black weight not srue what reason it for is it need to be there i am sound detonating my car to remove rattles so it would be good out the way

    As far as I know it is only there to add weight as a balance against the struts when lifting the tailgate, so it doesn't fly up. I removed mine when I took the rear wing off and there have been no adverse effects apart from the tailgate opening faster, althought this effect may have been exagerated by the removal of the heavy stock wing.

    with no wing, weight, or wiper motor.. the hatch flys open with the lift of a little finger.. brilliant i must say

    Hey Mini,
    If he is "detonating his car" as he says, then it doesn't make any difference anyway, it will all be blown to bits in a flash. LOL LOL
