just came back from the hills.
see some smoke coming out from the driver side (bonnet and wheel)
pop the bonnet, smoke is coming from p/s system. the p/s fluid reservoir is real hot.

    your thought?

    thanks as usual.

ive had that before on my convertible, i really thought it was something major.......turned out it was just really really overfilled, causing it to over-pressurise(is that a word lol) and heat the fluid as a result.....it leaked out the top, so i cleaned it up and used a rag to soak up some of the excess fluid still inside the resevoir....had to do that twice it was so full, but its all good now.
hope that helps, and sorry for the long post

    Common occurrence

With spirited driving, regular occurrence at the track,
simple fix is to attach something absorbent to the reservoir, i use wrist sweat bands, do a great job.
Thats why you see drifters with socks/ gloves on their reservoirs.
more expensive fix is to fit a small oil cooler.:)

Yeah, I cut a snowboard sock about 3 Inch from the toe, and snipped a hole in the top...perfect.

But now you get a cold foot when you hit the powder.

I used to get this happening all the time at track days but when I had my car in with Joe Imbessi a while ago he replaces the power steering fluid with some kind of hydraulic fluid he told me would be much better and it's been great. Never overflowed since even on full days at Winton in 35 degree heat and clocking up 175kms on the track during the day.
