    Correction its 4mm.

I've emailed UAS to see if they have any info on it. Mainly want to know where the restrictor is on them. If it's in the line itself and I cut it short I need to know just in case obviously that's where it is etc.

Ah ok, so how bigs the fittings you have then?

Hard to judge via photos, but I would expect them to be 1/4 bsp to 9/16 jic. To which would have close to a 4mm ID. Actually thinking about it it would be a bit more, but would this drastically affect your oil feed. Using 1/4 braided lines?

Yer posted above the ID is 4mm, checked with a vernier caliper as close as I could.

Unsure on the exact size of the lines as it was a kit where I didn't need to specify anything.

So yer my concern is I don't see any restrictors but then again they may be in the turbo itself or in the line itself. Need more detail basically.

On that note just found another thread which indicated the restrictor could be built in.

End of the day I will get a confirmation from UAS hopefully.

Yer I had seen it, only came across it recently as well.

In all honesty not sure what to believe. I know that a few of the guys who got them from the same group buy as me haven't had any major issues. And looking at mine they so far look ok. They don't seal exactly as the OEM's do but then they aren't anywhere near as bad as the examples posted on ttnet.

I'll give them a go, it's a bit late now to do anything about it as they were bought years back.

I haven't had any probs as far as closing and sealing with mine .

I have the CNC version not the cast ones.

Haven't done a leak down test though .

    builds looking good .

Yer mine aren't the CNC ones, the original cast ones.

Will see how they go. Not much else I can really do. If they have issues I'll look at something else or possibly just hone the crap out of them and fit a new butterfly.

I've got a set of restrictors for 2860 BB's. The restrictors I have are much smaller than 2mm, I believe that Z1 have the correct size on their site.

My restrictors are in the top of the turbo, the braided lines threads straight onto it.
Passenger side is set up like so. Turbo-Restrictor-Braided Line-Fitting (Supplied by Enzed, take the oil pressure block in so they can match the pitch inside, from memory its 1mm)-Oil Pressure Unit.
Drivers side is just Turbo-Restrictor-Braided Line-Block (through a banjo fitting).

I'll have to double check all that though!

Lucky for you, I still have the part number for the fitting required. It's a speed flow part, 357-04. M12x1.0mm :)

    Cheers.

Yer I don't see an restrictors in this setup. So looks like I am going to have to take the whole lot down to enzed and get it all figured out. Just a pain trying to do it during the week.

If I recall they are open Saturday mornings but can't find anywhere on their site to confirm.

I have the z1 kit and just relocated the oil pressure sender to the oil tee. Restrictors are screwed in directly to the turbo and are probably only 1mm if that.

Do you still have your standard hardlines? If so you can use them, just need some massaging on the left turbo to fit.

Call and speak to JP on Saturday morning -you paid top $$ for that kit he should be ok about swapping for the correct lines

Lets say that I don't.. I haven't seen them in the box of original bits.

Yer but this is also what like 4+ years ago when it was bought.

I'm not chasing replacement parts, just want confirmation of what's what so I know what I need to do :) At the end of the day it's looking to just be a few fittings that need sorting but just wanna make sure I am correct with the restrictor side of things. I shot through an email last night with the details, and can followup with a call later in the week.

Anyway all good for now. Might see if I can get some stuff sorted on my lunch break.

As mentioned in the other thread, got new fittings with a restrictor piece. I have a few spares as well if anyone wants them. Pack of 10 restrictors which slot into the fitting. It's marked as a garrett turbo oil line restrictor for BB.

Looking at your pics, have you installed the Ramey Z Tensioner and Idler studs !! ?
    They are very highly recommended.
There is no way i'd trust those old studs.

Another Z engine snapped its stud and blew up only just last week !!!

If you're talking about Sarah's car the stud didn't snap, the nut went MIA
