I seem to of incured the wrath of the winged ones when driving around Gilgandra.:x My reversing lights were working on the way up, but as was pointed out by an astute Zed owner, they are not now working. :`( I have removed the globes & had them checked, & there fine, checked wiring in boot compartment, & that appears OK as well.:s Also checked wiring in centre console area, all looks good. Oh! and Pete, you were correct, I found the switch's for the Headlight Aiming device & also the Ashtray light. Both disconnected though. Does anyone know of anything else that might cause this to happen.:| Any help would be appreciated, Thanks. Cheers Kerry
And this would be >> where exactly.:| I've checked all fuses in the drivers foot well area, both locations under the bonnet & still haven't been able to find a fuse related to the back up lights as described by the workshop manual. Cheers Kerry
Switch is in the side of gearbox .... If you unplug the connector and short it out, then the reverse lights should come on if the switch is buggered.
It will be the switch, i have had no reverse lights for ages because of this, they slowly died, on off on off etc. They just do not work now. I have another gearbox sitting in my garage waiting to be put in so ill change it to the new metal one before i do that. I think its about 50 bucks from nissan??
Unfortunately no. Switch will fail....> completely eventually.I think I remember someone saying a Ford switch fitted.... but that was a long time ago.
