The old song sure feels good when it applies to a Zed...!!! For the record, it seems inhibitor switches can vary slightly on Zed auto gearboxes, causing problems like I experienced recently after Wokburner fitted a replacement 'box for me.... firstly, we had trouble starting and were forced to bypass the inhibitor switch to get car started; then, it refused to change up from 2nd to 3rd. All adjustments were double checked, but it took Neville's Gearboxes (big plug, as the car has never run sweeter!!) at Marrickville to re-build the inhibitor switch itself to cure ALL problems!! Excellent service - did it for me on Melbourne Cup Day and pricing was quite acceptable.

Actually, for anyone with gearbox issues, the company is 'Neville's Automatic Transmissions' (at Bankstown, 9790 4108)... the factory appears very up-market (and spotless) and I remarked to MattB when we dropped the car off: "I hope I don't end up paying for the overheads on THIS place..."! Needn't have worried... the pricing was very reasonable, and the man himself even hand-delivered my car to Castle Hill!! How many shops would do THAT!!?? Can't recommend them highly enough.... make sure you mention the Zed forum, as he used have Zeds himself!!
