    Hey everyone..

Was driving home from my exam.. got home then smelt coolant.. opened the bonnet and saw water everywhere...

i've circled in green where the coolant is coming from.. looking at the picture i can't determine where it could be coming from or which hose.... OR is it even a hose??

does this mean i would have to remove the upper plenum is see what the culprit is?

    guys any suggestions?

    thanks

it depends were it is coming from though. in that area you have the under plenum hoses, the turbo hose, or even the heater hoses...you'd need to look deeper into which one it is first.

might as well get a plenum pull done mate...so you dont have to worry about it ever again :) if its the plenumhose that is

ive checked.. its definately not any of the two heater hoses..

and its not those two little hoses where the heater hoses are...

The shot of gushing water seems to be coming from where i circled..

makes me think that it isnt the under plenum hoses..

are there any other hoses down there?

have you checked where hoses 9 and 11 join...if its not these nor the heater hoses, it might be under the plenum and squirting down

Most likely the RH Turbo hose(s). You can replace without a plenum pull with difficulty, but suggest going for the full fix as if one hose gone the rest are not far off :(

Yeah, if thats the little hose with the bend, it can be done with the cruise control taken off and maybe the turbo outlet pipe off too.
Like Rob says, it's usually an indication of the state of the other hoses in the system.

    yeah its a tt

if its the Rh turbo hose.. am i able to get a replacement at super cheap, repco or autobarn?

yeah i really want to get a plenum pull done.. but got exams atm and have to wait to get all the accessories for the plenum pull...

anyone in melb planning to do a plenum pull any time soon?/

i would really like to get some experience..

im a bit scared tackling this task..

    thanks guys

It's pretty simple to do a complete underplenum by-pass without removing the plenum, not as neat, but still effective. There's a pic of how I did mine in the Tech section somewhere:cool:It's in the photo section, the 4 spiral wrapped hoses are the turbo feed/return water lines, there is no other connection to the plenum
