baby in bits

Well on Saturday Dinoz and I ripped the top half of my baby apart.
There is a lot of things to do when you get this far.
To do list.....

All parts cleaned and or modified.
Water by-pass done.
Get injectors done (got Ray/Dwight to do them today in Brissy)
Left home at 6:00 this morning, up to Brisbane, and home at 4:30 this arvo.
If I had thought of it , could have had a hours sleep in ,daylight saving and all.
All water pipes replaced / re-routed.
All fuel lines replaced/re-routed.
All parts cleaned/painted.
All electrical conectors replaced.
EGR deleted.
AIV deleted.
Painted valve covers / ballance tube / hard pipes.
And the list goes on and on.......

Thanks mate .
Looks better now .
Removed the hicas and fuse box out of the way and a fresh coat of paint throughout the whole engine-bay yesterday.
Today put it all back and got up to the plenum on stage.
Tomorrow will be strip wiring harness and solder in new plugs.

Looks HEAPS tidyer now.



By the way , we nearly had a hearbreak moment today putting the plenum back on.
Got it on and all the associated crap back and then realized we forgot to shave off the the tabs on the injectors for the new plugs to fit on properly.
We used a hacksaw blade to remove the tabs without remove the plenum again
Sounds rough and ready but it works a charm.

Well she started straight up , purring like a kitten
Heaps tidier and no leaks or problems first up (really big grin and happy)
Now i can relax for the last week of my hollidays i hope.

Heres it back at home finally.
Few things to finnish off yet , but mostly done now.
