QLD Assistance needed 20/11/2010 - Putting up Christmas Lights - PLEASE READ!!

Hey all,

As some of you are already aware, my family put up christmas lights every year at my father's house. They have become an annual tradition and attract families from all around the area who bring their children to see them.

Unfortunatly this year my grandmother has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and last week tumors were discovered in her brain causing her to loose control of both legs and one arm. We have been advised that she will not be leaving the hospital this time.

My grandmother looks forward to the lights every year but since she was hospitalised last week my father has spent every day in hospital with her and will not have the time or motivation to assist me. I have decided that I will set them up for him so that he can spend his time with my grandmother.

What I need is as many people who can to assist me in errecting the lights. There are hundreds of sets of the buggers and would take one person at least two full days to set them up. With a few more hands I beleive we could do it in half a day.

In turn for assisting I'm going to try to run a BBQ and supply beers/soft drink to anyone who helps. You'll also get that warm feeling inside that comes from helping people in a time of need, this comes free of charge.

Yup, in total I'd estimate between $60k-100k has been spent all up on lights and associated gear.

I'm doing a 100K service on my bro in laws Skyrine on Sat otherwise I would have come and eaten free food and watched you fall off the roof Mikey

 

Besides - whats more fun than drinking and walking around on the roof of a house? All while getting into the spirit of Christmas and helping a fellow zedder out.

You can wind down from all the excitement on Saturday on the Sunday cruise!

 

Installing Christmas lights will be good practice for working on the EVO electrics, I am sure!

Looks like tomorrow is shaping up to be a good day. We've got half a dozen people coming along to help which is awesome!

As previously said, we're gonna start work at 0900 and I'll be supplying a BBQ lunch and Beer/Coke/Water. If you're still interested in coming along we could definatly use the extra pair of hands.
