These new cast manifolds look pretty good . much better design than the log style . Don't know if there will be a significant gain over the mike smith. If they had a T3 flange it would awesome . [http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&r...OfhqhtoyoamOggmag&sig2=sm6qxCVRJKIecCSxkslUTQ
Seems to be a better design...... It looks like a lot more thought and theory has gone into the Ash ones. They may not offer much of a performance increase over the MS ones but judging by the flow chart numbers on the ASH manifolds they certainly are a lot more even across all the cylinders. If you run a search on ttnet you'll find the flowchart numbers that Ash published for them The MS ones seem to have a few cylinders that are choked slightly in comparison. They seem like good manifolds but I wonder if they'll be readily available. Also, given our current dollar exchange rate, they are very expensive.
i wonder if these could be trned uposide down for high mount turbo appliactions? dunno if itd fit, looks like it could be close. passenger side on drivers and visa versa....
dont buy direct from ash hes friggen terrible with timeframes buy through Specialty Z new manis look nice !!
Need to cut studs Change the washers Cut the washers Modify dipstick tube Remove a boss from the heads Find away to insulate them
Again.. Flow results do look good. Let's see some real world results At $900USD ($1300 AUD) you'd hope they actually make a difference .... But then again your half way to custom external gated top or isolated rear manifolds with that price ..
Considering the difference in design they're not a huge step up in price from MSP, if they dont have any fitment or quality issues I would be surprised if they didn't become part of the big numbers checklist.
I can tell you don't go on Facebook much Supply issues Deadline issues Quality issues (first batch) no news on this most recent one Fitment issues in needed to cut and alter componants As rob mentioned Unless ceramic coating or something you'll need to inslate.. Unless you believe that the air in the engine bay is enough:rolleyes2:
