Yes yes I know apparently all of our Z's came with an adjustable steering column according to many car sales sites, however I am curious to know whether anyone knows whether there is actually any tilt steering columns that will bolt up with minimal modification? I have been interested in this since forever, cause im not the smallest person and its a right PITA to get in and out of.

Got to the point where I was thinking about getting a removable steering wheel, Also anyone know whether this can be engineered to be legal in NSW?

    In 10 years of Z32 ownership, I have NEVER seen(or heard of)anyone with a Tilt/Adjustable Steering Column in a Z32.
Yes, I have seen all those bogus claims on car sales sites.:p:zlove:
As for removable Steering Wheels, I may/may not have one(but if I have, it's never needed to be "engineered")and I doubt that anyone else on here has bothered to pursue that requirement.:p;);)

Ports has one on his car. I'm not sure of the brands, but you just need a certain type of boss that will allow you to remove the wheel. Common in motorsports.

By "adjustable steering" they are probablry referring to the HICAS, because that's how it is described in Japanese sales literature

ohh awesome did you pay extra for that?

yeah I think a removable steering wheel might be the better option, Chili what is the brand of the one that you may or may not have? price? where from? quality? worth while?

Mine was purchased from Just Jap in Sydney several years ago.
I can't remember the price, because I'm old and feeble, but I do remember that it was quite reasonable at the time(and very good quality). No problems fitting it. My Nardi steering wheel fitted the universal adapter without any grief.
Looks good and works a treat(or it would if I had one).:p:p

Yeah well when I take a corner to fast, my whole steering wheel moves side to side. I should get that checked some time.
