    Hi All,

My AC clutch has seized and I have a replacement compressor ready to go, but now I need to replace all the bits and pieces necessary to charge it with a new gas (R134a).

I read the R12 to R134a Conversion - Parts Required thread which lists the following parts:
    Drier RPL RD5010, stock code 15-DR4702, $34.29
Pressure Switch RPL PS3610, stock code 15-PS7907, $15.93
Fitting adapter, RPL AF6363, stock code 15-AF9101, $4.69
Fitting adapter, RPL AF6364, stock code 15-AF9103, $5.42

I am also under the impression I need to replace orings which are not specified in the above thread.

To date I have traced the above list of parts to different suppliers (ie. no one supplier has all the bits), I?ll try locally this week before embarking in the online mess.

Q1: Does anyone have any information on the size/type of orings?
Q2: Does anyone have any recommendations for parts suppliers.

    Thanks

A bit of Info for anyone else looking.
These are the places I have found that supply the above parts. The original supplier mentioned in the linked post seems to be going through changes and there website seems to have no depth past a section for ac parts.

    Orings

The r134a o rings I used came in a box will all sizes/diameter, came from repco, didn't have to buy it though as it's my fathers trade being a auto elec. Hope you have a vacuum pump, recharge bottle with r134a, regulator setup.
Might be better to take all your parts to someone with the gear, gas and o rings.

    ok i'll check repco thanks.

Na I'm not gassing it, ac shop can do that. I'll get the compressor and parts fitted prior to gassing though. Makes me realise though I may have to take it to the ac shop prior to removal to purge the current gas.

a follow up regarding orings and parts

    #5 x 1 - drier
    #8 x 1 - drier
    #8 x 1 - ac compressor
    ? x 1 - ac compressor (15mm outer diameter)

repco ended up being the best place to get the components (the fitting adapters mentioned in this post did not fit my zed - the ac place sourced some when they gassed it up).

The best bet with orings is to take the ones you have to the place that is going to do your regas. they can sell you the number you need. every one else will insist on selling you bags of them.

Yep , I went to AC place and they gave me the ones I needed plus a couple spare just incase . I havent been to get regas yet but like your post was told the AC people will fit the adapters to suit .
