hey zedders this pic is from the uas site it sells for $595 Wat brand or design is it? Im not sure wat AB style stands for? does it mean its a copy of a more popular brand or wat? can any 1 shed some light on this?? and Who actually likes it???? This isnt really wat i first had in mind.. my taste is more towards the clean lines of Abflug or wingswest ... this AB style bar has a "busy" lower half with 2 intake holes on each side and speed holes along the reo bar above the number plate.. Now i need to mix / match it up with some side skirts for a 2+2. opinions would be nice! thanks frank
cheers boys! lol you've answered like 100 of my questions in like 4 posts... quick service.. the truth is... i picked this bar up 2nd hand for next to nuthing... it doesnt need any work apart from a prep and paint... so i may or may not keep it. Wat chance is it being a Genuine Abflug... ?? do they come in Fibreglass or is real abflug only Urethane? thanks again
i don't mind it at all .. but i am most upset that you would suggest that uas would be selling copies .. and shame, shame, shame ... lol... and ... .. a good pick up, especially if a genuine AB ... well done ...
Don't look now, but most of the body kits sold in Australia ARE copies of the originals. There is one very obvious reason for this, most of you won't pay the high cost of shipping from Japan, USA or Europe, and so you encourage local manufacturers to make close copies of the originals. Have a look at the "wide body" kit that has just been imported by someone on here. It's destined to be turned into cheaper copies for those who expressed interest, isn't it? I hope UAS doesn't agree to market them, or JP will be in for another bashing.
baz... im not sure if it is real ab? This bar i found is from a half cut and did come from japan... thing is... uas claim it to be a AB style.. but if you go on the abflug website... there is not any proof that this bar is an abflug... also... my mate has a real abflug type 4 on his zed.. very nice.. and its currently listed on the abflug.jp site.. but this bar i picked up isnt listed... the type 4 abflug is also on Ademon's white z.. very sheek indeed! I would like to assume this bar i picked up is from a halfcut from japan..so either its a copy of the real item or its the real item from japan... its not a local bar.. or it "seems"... there is also a sticker on the bar.. named "explosion luxury sports parts"... i have never heard of explosion body kits tho.
lo, unca chili .. think most of us are aware of the multitudinous and ever expanding copying industry and the forum history of sellers of copies complaining that their copy may have been copied ... lol.. .. i think that you may well find the importers of the now forum popular, wide body kit have, in fact, clearance from the manufacturer to reproduce the kit in australia ... so, while i very much doubt that uas will be asked to market the kits, were that to be the case, dear and sacred 'ol JP would be "bash proof" on this item .... lol... jeez .. not too keen on these explicit violence posts ...
as josh said, i'd probably mod it a bit. cover up a few holes etc. to tone it down a bit. its too busy compared to the rest of the car. maybe do a quick sketch of the bar, then muck around with the drawing to perhaps modify it so its your own creation.
