hey guys, you know those lil clips on the A pillar that hold it in, well... all 3 of mine are snapped! quiet nifty dont you think? anyway does anyone have a idea of how to remedy this? name of the clips etc.. what should i do, scrape the left overs off glue new ones down n start again? another clip? a special glue? hit me with ideas fellas!
I have the exact same probablem. I actually has a bar gauge there and the cups screws is what was holding it in, then when I got rid of the bar gauge and installed my new 3 tachos, as soon as I undone the first screw for the bar gauge, the whole piller basicly just crumbelled in my hands. After viewing it a saw that the 3 clips where long gone. So far I havent really fixed it, just done a quick job, though the objective is by the next couple of months I'll have a new one made up. Just got go find the place 1st.... Jase
lol i dunno about buying a new A pillar, seriously, has to be better ways around it then that. oh and jase, you mean your 3 new Guages, a tacho is short for tachometer. but yeah it sucks hey, my sun visor is the only thing holding mine up... what if its sunny! worst case for me is, i have got a 2 guage pod on there, remove that... chuck in a self tapper, replace ontop of the self tapper.
Exactly what I've been trying to motivate myself to fix for a while now. Whats up with these a-pillars??? Will double my efforts
My clips are gone too I don't know where to get replacement clips but super glue is working for me at the moment. But any kind of sharp knock will probably break the join. Masking tape is a good idea to holds it while the glue sets..... Theres gotta be a better soloution i'm sure .....
I am definatly interest in getting that from the link provided! But 1 question?? Is it the left piller or right one that we are ordering? Well mine is the right drivers side pillee thats screwed, but due to americas left hand drive, it says left(driver side).. If I ordered the right piller, should that be fine?
The plastic gets brittle as hell over the years, its almost impossible to remove them without a clip mount busting.
