Is it possible to buy new A/C lines? mine look a bit old and dodgy. there are bits which look like someone has wrapped some cloth around it and tied it down with copper wire. My thoughts are maybe it was a quick fix to seal a leak? I dunno. I'll get some pics up later tonight. Also is the A/C condenser the same on jspec and US models? (ie, can I order a new one from coz) http://www.conceptzperformance.com/..._Type=NIS300&UID=20080324175609202.167.15.161 Cheers
They are alloy, if you want to get anal about it. Take them out and polish the crap out of them, then put them back. Then they look NICE. That rag all over them was a stock heat sheilding that Nissan added. Looks pretty crappy dont it !!
I was contemplating routing mine a different way back to the AC compressor - can you get them custom done at a reasonable price? or better yet, can you bend them up yourself if you buy the line and just get someone to terminate the fittings? (or something like that)
Ahh, factory heat shielding hey.. that explains it. Mine is brittle as anything. Is it actually required? I guess I could re-wrap it with the stuff they use on exhausts. Where can I get some of that?
be careful trying to bend the Aircon lines. Some of the alloy isnt anealed and its as hard as buggery. If it doesnt bend easy, dont keep trying as it will snap.
