    Hey guys.

Had intentions to repair this but the other 3 zeds are still looking at me sadly.

Just seeing if anyone is interested in taking this on as its an absolutely excellent base and seems a shame to part it out , although thats what I'll be doing if it doesn't sell.

The motor still runs great, gearbox and clutch are excellent. Car can be driven up the street for potential buyer.

This is a genuine 95 model meaning dual airbags, s3 climate control, full velour interior, factory pillar mounted seat belts (not door mounts).

The interior is good as to be expected, and the rest of the car is very straight. The front damage will need the rad support panel replaced but actually is much easier than it seems.

I can provide a straight tt front bar and a bonnet. You will need a passenger guard and headlight, plus the rad support clip. These are only spot welded on from factory and can easily be drilled out and replaced. In the end even if you paid a panel beater you'd end up with a car worth more than it cost you to fix :)
And if you have a panel beater friend or someone cheap it would be even better.

Even if this was only good for parts, would be great to transfer bits to a donor car.

Velour Interior, 95 model gearbox + conversion, NA rear end, Series 2 fuel rail, heads and lower plenum, NA PS pump the list goes on. I'd buy, keep the goodies for myself n part the rest if it was in Perth. Sadly transport costs would kill that idea...

Car was paid out to previous owner. There's no write off complications after a vehicle has reached 15 years old.

the engine and gearbox/clutch are excellent as in my initial post. Yes this car is worth substantially more in parts than my asking price (which is ono btw).

The engine does not need to be removed. Even if I charged someone 2k to repair it, it would still be an excellent overall price for a 95 model. We all know this but its about the internet battle isnt it.

it is FAR from uneconomical to repair. It is also FAR from uneconomical to buy just for parts.
How much do you think you can buy a 4 seater complete suede interior for? If even available. ..?
How about an s2 motor+gearbox? Manual conversion gear? 95 hatch with spoiler and infill? NA rear end? S2 interior items likr steering wheel and climate control? Etc etc etc

I have parted out at least half a dozen zeds and I know as well as anyone what theyre worth.

oh and BTW, the difference between this and the previous purchase price is that I am offering most of the parts to repair it :)

so does anyone honestly think that if they offered me 2k for the complete car they wouldn't make a substantial profit parting it out?

OK, sounds like it is worth rescuing as a complete car.
Why don't you post more pics of the good bits too.
Some details would be good. eg. Is it an Auspec and what are the kms.
If you are selling it as a complete car, why don't you post the for sale template?
