VIC 91 silver AT 2+2 twin turbo cheap with goodies

As i leave for Europe in 2 months time I've sadly come to the realisation that no matter how much i love this Z i cant keep it around any longer. Brief history of the car:

Brought it back in 09 with 80K on the clock and the 5year/100k service done from a 60 year old man in Kangaroo flats (hour out of bendigo) who imported the car in 2004, sadly he broke his back and could no longer drive it. Out of the 3 Zeds i've owned this one was by far the nicest, lovely to drive and the interior is mint. Since i've owned the car i have done the following:

Serviced every 5000k
New Bosch exhaust gas sensors
New AFM
apexi pod filter
spitfire ignition packs
2000 model tail lights
18" Ksport Rims

This car hasn't really been on the road properly for around 2 years as i travel a lot for my work and already have a work car, it has been sitting at my parents house, no oil leaks, no water leaks and when the battory is charged fires first time without fail. about a year ago went I thought i might have time for the car again i got bored and fitted a FMIC, a West Yokohama front bar (very rare) and an Ab flug CV2 rear bar (1200rrp) but once again time and other commitments and where i was living pulled me away from the car.

the bad points: clear coat on bonnet and a little on front guards has flaked off in areas, i've seen this on other 91 silver zeds also. the rear spoiler has bubbled and lifted, i've resisted the urge to pull it off only due to the fact i wont have time and i don't want to leave the holes exposed for rust. Also one day i noticed the heater wasn't blowing hot air and found that the heater core had cracked, as i didn't want to pull out the dash i just did the quick bypass.

Car will also come with TTZ floor mats, OEM wheels, Tuneagent Dump pipes (new in box) and the West yokohama front bar (front lip is cracked)

some other things worth noting:

i have the strip that goes above the radio, i just took it off when taking the picture as when no looking i pushed a cd through the top of the cd player so the car also comes with a free CD

When i dyno'd the car i got a return of 172.2 rwkw which i though was quite good for an 20 year old auto.

the car doesn't have the front bar on at the moment due to when when moving it my mate didn't know how to drive it and being low cracked the front bar so it has been removed to be fixed, here is what a West yokohama front bar looks like

buy the whole car and part it out then anti.....you easily recover costs and probly make a profit even after you kept the rear bar.

Had a forum member come down from Albury, first time started in around a year, test drove it and it pulled like a train, no question the bottom end and the compression and transmission is in great condition, then steam, coolant coming out of the radiator. apon inpection, it looks like the aftermarket nismo rad cap has damaged the plastic thread on the neck of radiator causing it to pop off and not seal properly

Be careful of this car. It was in much worse condition than stated.

Not currently running (I believe it to be bad fuel in the injectors or rails). I flew down from Sydney to drive it home (As i told the seller. He confirmed it would be fine). He told me it would be ready to go when I arrived but the battery was dead (he said it would be charged) and once I fixed this issue and checked other things (fuel pump, fuel filter, electronics and intakes) but the car still didn't run.

His father who I spoke with told me his son had tried starting it before he left overseas (before I booked my flights and after the last time I spoke to him) and that it had not started.

So basically I spent $600 for nothing.

Be very careful of this car and the seller.

 

This is why I'm so reluctant to buy privately again, it's just so easy for people to BS and sell you their rubbish. On the other hand I don't think I'm going to sell my Ford Probe because I can't not say "look, it was in bad shape when I got it so I can't say whether there are major issues but it runs fine and doesn't have any obvious issues"

 

Yeah I got burned by I,m Toasted also, bought a flight to drive it back to Brissy......
last minute text to cancel deal after weeks of organizing time off work etc,
might as well roll the dice on ebay if forum members like this guy can get away with dudding other members thanks for outing this guy NOOBshoes

 

yer i totaly agree with ryan. yes some people can talk BS but buying a $1900 tt zed what do you think your going to get. the only way for a car of this price is pick it up with a trailer

 

That's all fine.

Only issue is I was told it would be fine to drive home.

There was a driveable 300zx TT in much better condition around the corner about 3 months ago. Only $1700!

Ryan, it doesn't matter what the price was, the fact is that he said that the only reason he was selling was due to going to Europe, and stated that the car was running perfectly bar a radiator.

apologies to forum members who believe they got "burnt"

the car should of been charged, when i got to europe i my bag was stolen including my wallet phone and laptop, this is the first time ive been able to get on the site.

the car hasnt been driven in 2 years, i had no idea what kind of condision the car was in, im not sure what the forum member from albury user name is but the bottem end felt fantastic, i have no idea why it wouldnt start as i got it going again before i left, only to find out its not working again.

car is priced as it is due to the fact of the price of the aftermarket parts on it.

craig i told you that i would let you know, you knew how busy i was with work and what was going on in my personal life.

car also comes with brand new windsheild cowling and SS dump pipes to the cats

this car seems to be a parting out car, so if thats the case ill do it when i come back

Well that comment was fairly deceiving considering you had "no idea" as to what condition the car was in.
