I know this would have been covered before but cant seem to find it anywhere.
What mods will need to be made to fit 6x9's in the front doors?

Or does anyone have the stock ones for sale.

Stock speakers are 6" so you'd have to make a bracket for 6x9's or possibly mount them on the door skin.

mate if you want 6*9's you are better off buying a 50mm spacer or similar and mounting them to the door card and supporting it from behind

alternatively if u have time and an some idea of what you are doing there is nothing to stop you mounting them in the boot panels, it is what i did on my 2 seater, right behind the drivers and passenger seats

first off, are you putting a sub in the boot? if you are 6*9's are a waste.. if you are putting a sub in then get some decent 6" component splits. that way you have good mid and hi range frequencies.. and the base from the sub in the back.
6*9's are designed to give you more base than a normal speaker so you dont need to use a sub.

if you still want 6*9's do as others have said and put them on the back pannel behind the seats.

Yeah the previous owner has taking the stock speakers / supports out so i am left with a big hole in my door panels.

Just want something to cover up the holes without messing around too much with it.
Im not putting a sub or anything in it as of yet......But you never know. I have a spare one and amp laying around so could go in later on

if you dont mind spending a bit of dosh. give forum member peter a PM he makes fiberglass door pods that you can fit 6" speakers in.. and they look fantastic.

if you want good sound I would still recommend 6" splits in the front and mount the 6*9's in the back..
