For Sale: 4.1:1 Leader Gears for the 300zx. Reason for Sale: I bought them a while ago with the intention of putting them in my Z to make it go faster (obviously). But now just purchased a house and the money would be better spent on a washing machine, plates and spoons etc... Why You Want Them: Because they will make your Z even more fun. Your Z will be alot faster off the mark. Will climb to higher rpm faster which in turn will help your turbos spool faster. Ask anyone who has them installed, WazTTed compared them to a turbo upgrade they are that good. i had mine done locally for 450 cash. that includes fitting all new bearings and seals that i provided leader gears are seriously good fun !!! add them , dual intake dual maf and god your z is will be a weapon !!
Do these shorten the overall ratio(obviously)?? Or is it just a lengthening of 1st and shortening 2nd/3rd?? Will top speed be affected dramatically? Am i making any sense? Are these stupid questions??? lol :thumbup: no... seriously... someone? Elie

It changes your diff ratio. So therefore is a linear change over speed, meaning that all gears will be shorter (not "lengthening of 1st and shortening 2nd/3rd"). The top speed would be reduced, since the engine has to work harder to move the same distance.
