I have a built vg motor with forged internals pistons/rods, arp fasteners, acl race bearings, bigger cams, ported heads, gt28r turbos, uas ported maniflods, split 2.5 dump pipe, bde rebuilt cam gears, new water pump, blue timing belt bla bla lot of money spent. 362kwatw with 5 speed 326kw when i was auto. Reason for sale motor has a small leak on Piston #3. which was noticeable by a miss fire at hi rpm above 5000. after replacing pretty much every thing such as changing to split fire coils, new CAS, new TPS, different types of spark plugs and alot of other things like adding o2 sensors, knock sensors, new AAIV, while i was at it, with one big shipment from z1 I still had the miss fire. that's when my mechanic MRC found the leak by looking down were the spark plug goes with a torch to see that #3piston shiny with no deposits on it, so which indicates a leak in head gasket which was failing that spark plug 'miss firing' So that's the story asking for $4,500 for every thing will post pics as the engine is painted color matched to my car and has polished plenum/water pipes, chrome Balence tube. Things that won't come with engine that I mentioned AAIV , TPS, CAS, split fire coils, every thing else does. Lot more I've missed I'm sure motor has done no more that 5500kms since rebuild built by UAS I'm sure there will be alot of question. I'm happy to answer them all just bare with me I'm very busy dont have much time to my self, but I will try to reply in a timely manner. Any information regarding cost to fix problem are welcome if your experienced in that line of work. $4500 360kw motor can hold alot more than these turbos can offer so obviously a turbo upgrade will see more. go from NA to a big power tt or replace your blown tt.
Yeah Why not pull the heads and replace the suspect head gasket/s that engine gotta be a 10k investment...
New OEM head gaskets $60 at www.conceptzperformance.com If you're not comfortable with DIY fitment try ASR automotive 8677 3000 for a quote.
