well, its time for me to change my wheels.

i bought my Z more than a year ago with the LENSO 18" spinning wheels on it, and i spent most of my money for the bodykit, interior, and to fix it... now its time for me to buy some nice wheels!

i was just wondering what cars were compatible with ZX wheels???

btw, if anyone is interested for 18" spinning wheels, its for sale or swap ...:p

Most wheels with a 5*114.3 stud pattern and offsets around the +38 to +42 region will fit... but it also depends on caliper clearance on the fronts (called... "X factor"...) but there's no measurements associated with X-factor so it's usually a trial and error thing.

Falcons, Surpa's, 5 stud skylines and silvia's will fit... but you'll need to check offsets so the wheels don't stick out from the guards or rub against anything.

Do you have any specific wheels you were interested in? Maybe post up some pics/links to the one's you're thinking of just incase you're not sure they'll fit.

    what they said,

    Heres the rules of thumb
    1) it can't be off a GTR or a Pre AU Falcon
    2) It can't be off a any Conformadore or holden, Audi, Subaru, Mercedes, BMW, Focus, as are wrong stud fitment.
    3) try before you buy. take one wheel, trial fit it on the front and back, make sure it doesn't rub guards and can do a full lock to lock with out touching brakes, or suspension.
    4) don't buy a crappo looking wheel because it's a bit cheaper than the one you wanted. you WILL regret it- like anything i suppose REf: my girlfriend...ahaha
    5) if you don't know, ASk.

    as you were

    yeah should fit quite readily.
There may be some exceptions obviously, but i can't think of any off the top of my head.

but if it makes you more confident, id put em on my car....but i have a falcon....i would have put them on my zed though

    Thanks

i was thinking off swaping the stock zed wheel to the Ba, after i have them polished. Can't look any worse than the stock ba silver rims they put on the one tonners.
    Cheers.

    Little off topic, yet not...

    Hub adaptors...say, if there was a wheel...5 X 130 fitment +55 offset...could you use a bolt on hub adaptor/spacer??

Hang on, why can't GT-R rims be used on the Z32? I thought the stud pattern was the same and that the GT-R offset actually puts the face of the wheel further away from the calipers than the stock Zed rims.

Please tell me this isn't so, as I had my heart set on getting some R33 GT-R rims sometime soon...

    NSW regulations state

The fitment of wheel spacers (or adaptors for dual wheel conversions) between the wheel mounting face
and the road wheel is not permitted unless fitted as original equipment by the vehicle manufacturer

    so I guess not.

What's wrong with a Falcon wheel with the blue oval ? Plenty of cheap ones on ebay. People might think it's a Ford Probe.

Also you'll find many GOOD wheel makes will do a "multi fit"

The volks I had were off a Zed (5x114) but I stuck them on my 180SX (4x114)

Damn i miss them wheels :(

    Damn i miss my 180sx :(

I've seen stock R33 GT-R wheels fitted to a Zed, don't have pics though. A lot of aftermarket GT-R wheels have too low an offset figure and will stick out too far. And offset has nothing to do with the rim centre distance from the caliper. Caliper clearance is a function of wheel design only - wheels with high caliper clearance are needed regardless of what the offset is.

    5/130?
have you got a landrover wheel you wanted to put on?
    or is that a mistype?
    5/120? commodore fitment.

I've seen these PCD adapter plates, however you have to remember that you'd need space for the plate.
It can physically work with a Pre AU falcon to a commodore fitment, but not a good idea, as classified as a spacer.

what wheel are you looking for?

    yeah

BA Falcon wheels do fit and no probs with the offset. I fitted to my zed and have been running for about 12 months with no probs at all
