A few of the 300ZX 1989 onward books written at the time of release mention the two speed fan on the a/c was considered a bit disappointing. High is too high and low is too low. With all the electrical gurus onsite here is there an easy 3 or 4 speed fan or switch mod possible? Not sure whether a different switch or different fan is needed. Or both. Thanks.
I thought that by de-selecting the low speed settting it will default to a speed between high and low. Thereby giving 3 speeds.
You are correct. It is a 3 spped fan with High, Low, and Medium. To get medium to work you switch off whichever speed is currently selected.
This is what I thought the case was but several members have told me otherwise. Mine works on low when selected and high when selected, but with no lights up it just stays on high. Also was trying to find out if the controls have a memory of any sort. If I have the ac on and fan setting at low, or fan on in econ mode, when I shut the car off and come back it reverts to fan speed high and ac on. Normal? Actually having 3 fan speeds would be awesome if that is how it's meant to be. Ben
