I made my first headlight bezel

    And there all mine.
As I don't see any great demand for them.

They are hard to take from the moulds with out and scratching so a bit of sanding is always going to be needed on the edges.

    Undercoat.

    Black base.

    Chromed finish.

Next pics will be of these fitted to my headlights.

Not as much interest in this thread as I would think there would be. I like these, I'll be down for a set maybe after Christmas and New Years. They look good, nice job. Would like to see how both the chrome and black ones look on your black zed as my zeds black and don't know which colour I'd want.

looking great gonzo, with the chroming though what have you used? Is it just a rattle pack or a proper chroming job? Some of the guys that had their standard headlights chromed have had issues with discolouration due to the heat so I'm curious to see how the finish holds up.

Im currently in two minds with these, I'd definately like a set but the amount of work involved in fitting them is putting me off... you may hear from me in the future!

    cheers, Tim

    Inserted my inserts

Removed my headlights took some pics of the old inserts.
And as you can see there are some gaps on the stock inserts around the reflectors.

And as you can see the bottom of the projector lenses has quite a big gap.
Im showing you this so you can compare the old insert with the 2K ones that I make.

    Stock inserts.

    Looks good Dave.

Similar story here though, xmas coming up etc etc.
Plus my car currently has no engine so headlight mods are way down the list right now.

Will definatly keep them in mind for the future though.

    easy job to do

took me about one hour to remove the front bar.
Pull apart the headlights clean the projectors and attach the new inserts.
Not even half a days work involved.
Come on you can do it and you will love the new look.lol

I use a rattle pack to do them.
    So they should be fine.
But if I had to do a lot of them I would use a spray gun as you can buy it by the litre.

    Chrome inderts

They look great in a chrome finish, however discolourisation has occured with previous experiments with others after 2 years, not sure if this will happen with yours

Looks great though may consider it
