Have just had Black Bess into an Auto Transmission specialist for a gearbox health check ... came back healthy and all systems go ... !!!

Checks did throw up an intermittent fault in the Auto Transmission Control Module which was replaced ( Part Number 31036 43P01) .... a bonus with this was the return to life of the "POWER" light ... thank da lordie I did not go ahead with the earlier intended pulling out all the bits and pieces to get to replace the 10 cents globe.

So all running fine ... and $380.00 added to vehicle value .. !!!!

UPDATE:

AS part of ongoing maintenance, i have just had Gavin WOODS (Autotech) replace the Brake Master Cylinder with a reconditioned exchange unit along with a flush and bleed of the brake hydraulics .... $425.50 .. !!!!

Someone is going to get a good deal, here .. !!!

Further ongoing maintenance today to have this machine in top running condition:

Replaced mufflers with OEM mufflers .... $350 all up and further value for the buyer.

Over recent months this vehicle has had well over $1000 invested in meaningful maintenance:-

1. Alternator replaced.
2. Auto transmission module replaced along with an auto transmission health check.
3. Master Brake cylinder replaced ... flush and bleed of brake hydraulics.
4. Mufflers replaced.

This zed now represents better than ever value for money ... no expense spared on real maintenance items and its runs beautifully.

For some reason there are a few nice 2+0's on the market at the moment in SEQ, all at good prices. As someone who is now actively looking for a 2+2, it's frustrating as there don't seem to be any decent ones that haven't been owned by a flatbrimmer.
