Hi selling my project car its a 4 seater 300zx (1990) twin turbo which is currently not running (timing belt issue) besides that the car and turbos are fine just dont have the money to complete the car. comes with cd player and targa top plus 17 inch rims. nice looking car. after $3000 which is less than what its cost me so far. good project for someone who knows anything about mechanics (which i dont) private message me and i can organise to send some pics if interested open to any reasonable offers

Car is an auto belt has not snapped but the reason for the problem was teeth missing on the belt so it just spins. the car is at a mechanics now and no sure way to tell without pulling it to pieces tho from what i have been told once the belt goes its a common thing for the valves to be stuffed. i have a few pics on my phone but thats it at the moment

yes there is, take the belt off and try and move the cam gears by hand. if they all move freely it may not be so bad.
if one or more wont turn freely then it's ****ed, will only take 5 minutes

99% of the time broken teeth on belt = bent valves

the cam gears turn but with a bit of resistence but not alot so i can only assume that means bent valves

Cams will be tight due to valve springs. But turning the cams to determine the condition of valves isn't really helpful :p

99% chance of bent valves. Won't know until you put a new belt on and do a compression/leakdown test or pull the heads off.
