hey guys this is probably a weird one but going back about 6-12 months ago someone emailed me some photos of a ported water gallery or passage to help with cooling issues!! i have been stumped for days to who it was and what the photos actually were... does anyone know what im talking about or if you recall sending me these photos please email them again!!! thanks guys
there are a few pics in this article: http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_arti...tech-building-the-nissan-vg30dett-part-1.aspx
do the porting before u send the things to the machine shop. In other words do this when the motor is out for a rebuild and has to be sent off to be chemically cleaned etc
so will this reduce temperature overall, or does it just help with correcting the poor coolant flow........
It would help with coolant flow, which would help the engine maintain its correct operating temp (if it couldn't before the porting)... but overall temp should still be controlled by the thermostat
yeah thas what i was trying to ask, operating temperature.....so that wont drop it will just be more consistant, right?
I would think so, it would keep temps more consistent and increase the cooling capability of the system...
