Sorry guys, i've bitten the bullet and finally had the shits enough now to finally buy some more comfortable and practical suspension for my silly low Zed. :sorry: I've just now ordered a set of King "Low" springs and a set of KYB struts to suit, instead of my "Super Lows" currently on there. After about 6 years of tearing my hair out and stressing whenever going into a shopping centre carpark, or even a Macca's drive-thru with speed bumps, i've finally thought, this enough stress! I want some "hassle-free" driving in my Zed for a change!! ...so, while i couldn't stomach going back to stock height (yuck), i'm going to hang out with the mildly low dudes from now as i'll still keep some half low reputation but actually be able to take my baby places it hasn't seen in many many years! lol. I'll post some before and after piccies when the suspension arrives and i install them - within the next couple of weekends if i get some time.
I did the same and love it! Kyb agx with eibach pro springs. Would give a Nissan patrol a run for its money of road but absolutely love the stress free driving plus the hub to gautd distance is nearly spot on according John measurements for roll centre
This makes me happy with my decision! Thanks I'll post up and (hopefully) confirm similar results when i fit my new suspension also. :zlove:
Benny i have the same setup on my zed i got KYB shocks and Low King Springs...its not too low but still lower than stock which i like. Its a cheaper option instead of getting coilovers. Abraham
I'm running Koni Adjustables with GS*R springs - almost spot on for the roll centre measurements like Z32 TT - and enough ride height to clear 'most' stuff. You'll probably also find with the crap condition of the roads after all this extreme weather in the last 12 months - that you are actually able to go a lot quicker* down a windy road as you have a lot more suspension travel available edit *within posted speed limits of course :br:
I bought some kings a couple of years ago and as far as I could find out they don't make a super low. And the 'lows' are still really low lucky to have 100mm clearance at the front and 2.5degrees neg camber with stock arms. Back springs are ok though.
ive got that setup your getting benny and you will still have some stress going up driveways etc but aslong as u always angle it in you should be fine in most situations not all though...
The 'lows' are still pretty low for us normal folk. The eibach springs are the solve all winners here.
