tried to do an oil change ( first ever) and when I try to start the car it wont anymore, it keeps choking, like its trying to start but it wont.

I had a 5 litre oil can before, but was only about 3 and 1/4 full, and I put in about half of that.

Car wont start and dip stik is not showing any oil on it. Im so scared I stuffed something now.

the car takes about 3-4L, the car should still run with 0 oil in it (do NOT do it though)

check to see if your plugs are firing..

i have a feeling its the ptu.

check/clean the connections, something may have come loose

your ptu might have failed too

what else was done during the oil change, did you change the fuel filter?

what else did you remove apart from the oil filter and sump bolt??
would still start without oil anyways, so mayeb you knocked something

did you replace them when you were finished also...

Let's get your story sorted first: Your zed had a 5 litre oil can dumped into it before, and it was only 3.25L until full? and then you just dumped another 2.5L in?

no I had about 5 ltr repco oil, but was only about 3 quarter full, and I dumped half of that in2 the zed after draining it.

Probably not enough oil, the zeds take 3-4L if I am correct?

But your choking problem probably lies elsewhere, try jiggling your PTU like mentioned earlier, CAS and AFM connectors before or while your zed is trying to idle.

So you've put half of three quarters of 5L of oil in? Is that right? In that case you don't have enough oil.

afm wont matter, but the ptu will be the big one, cas will still let the car start but will run like a dog.

I had a case where the Cas was half connected, and the zed wouldn't even attempt to crank. Weird. AFM when half connected made my car hunt around like a dying lawnmower, eventually slowing down and stalling.

Get a new battery, top the oil up and never touch it again. Go to a mechanic.

give the bloke a break... he is trying to learn... you were born knowing how to work on cars i assume??

go get a new battery... if the battery is shit the car just wont start... she will try but wont have the voltage to get it to kick over...

    I started at 4 years old :p

Trying to start a engine when there is no oil showing on the dip stick doesn't exactly show he's cut out to work on cars
