Well if someone wants to lend me their 2.5 full intake kit ill be happy to do some back to back testing but otherwise I think the stock intake should still perform reasonably well

But your turbo housing adaptor is for stock intake so putting 2.5 inch intake still has that restriction..(have a lip unless you grind it bigger).

just get smarter water meth injection and delete the intercooler..
or do a chilled water to air setup will delete half the piping
But then the reality hits and space restrictions.
look at what the trust td05 kit has in it.
run that in my zed and the intake pipework
Is not 2.5 inch nor is the outlet 2.5 inch.

would make a pooftenth of a difference imo..
the build looks good chief wait till you hit boost
And run it up to 1.22 bar and beyond you will be making chocolate
cookies in your pants as well as 315 wide tracks up the street ;)

    shes alive! !

Engine is all in, wired up, geared up, oiled up and primed and pressurised. waiting for the turn of the key...

With a light rumble, a slight stumble, then a allmighty ROOOAARR she fired into life, perfectly.

    http://youtu.be/AR3pP8cq5YE
(video of car running on dyno , NOT a dyno run)

im extremily happy with it, not a "tick" or "chat" in sight on its first start up and running very smoothly.

Ended up going with a turbosmart FPR .. now the engine just needs to be ran in and tuned.
Not long to go now .

Just a few pictures before she started and trial fitting my new exhaust componants.
    Final exhaust ended up being
    3" split flange dumps,
3" test pipes reducing into 2.5 at the cats to the rear mufflers..
no merge pipe, thats right, shell be a noisy bitch .lol

we found when you dony have the H crossover it reverberates like pulses inside the cabin almost too much for a long trip but sounds great

Yeah my old 2.5" was split too and sounded awesome. I'd use a x pipe over a H anyway :)

    Ready to go

Picking her up later this week .

So after a slight issue with my water pulley . And alot of tuning And playing around she has today pulled in 351 rwkw @20psi (which drops back to about 18)
Few small bits to still be tweaked but for a tune on a new engine I am pretty happy with that

My plan from here is take it away. Learn to drive with the new power and engine. After I warn a few thousand K's take it back . Maybe change my intercooler over and wind up the boost to 22-24psi and see what happens .

I'm pretty excited to get her back after such a long time having her in pieces. Will be good to be behind a powerful zed

I also found on my old Z with split systems if you idle'd for a while it would start sucking oil past the turbo seals and start smoking like a bastard. Put a H pipe in and it fixed it right up.

I don't plan on letting mine sit around and idle for long periods anyway ;p -- too much learning and fun to be had

2nd this, $80 H Pipe stopped my puffing smoke at idle and also made it sound deeper and smoother :) Awesome result on the tune though Well done!
