AUS ZedFest #9: Dubbo 2021

Hey team...

So it's a little while off but we're starting to get some things happening for ZedFest 2020. We're keen to make this a big one, and to book out the accommodation exclusively for ZedFest participants so it's time to start penciling in those dates.

When: Easter weekend 2021 falls from Friday April 2nd to Monday April 5th

Where: In an effort to try and engage as many forum members as possible we will be returning to Dubbo. Google Maps lists the following transit times

Canberra to Dubbo 4 Hours 31 mins
Sydney to Dubbo 4 Hours 52 mins
Brisbane to Dubbo 9 Hours 22 mins
Melbourne to Dubbo 8 Hours 59 mins
Adelaide to Dubbo 12 Hours 25 mins

Members from Wa, Tassie and the NT are of course welcome! I'm simply illustrating the point that this seemed the best location to land within a days' drive of the majority of members.

Accomodation: Base camp is the Country Leisure Motel, 86 Cobra Street Dubbo. Owners Craig & Louise are car nuts themselves (Toranas, but we'll try not to hold that against them) and have offered us the exclusive use of the Inn if we can book it out by mid January 2021. They have fifteen rooms on site so this should be achievable.

The cost per room for the weekend is $555 based on a three night stay and they have different bed configurations available per room.

I know it seems like a long way away but please get moving on this sooner rather than later so as we don’t lose our exclusive use of the motel.
