Having recently spent 2 weeks belting around the place I can honestly say they have the BEST roads in this fair land bar none...(and I've driven a shyte load more of this country than most)
People get all fuzzy and warm at the thought of a GOR run, 3 or 4 hours of twisty roads...... meh... did 4 days where I was actually starting to look for some straight roads for a change


Fuel prices were the same in most places as they are on the mainland

Accommodation was very affordable

The ferry ride across was smooth as silk and again supprisingly cheap as
(had the deck recliners to sleep on, they are inside the ship and they give you a pillow and blanky), food onboard was yummo and again affordable, the cabins were about $90 ontop of the ride across, smallish bed but comfy and a tiny kitchenette and a dunny.... couldn't see the point in spending an extra $90 just to sleep that far away from the bar

About the ONLY thing against it..... the few of us with sextra-low cars will have trouble getting on and off the ferry, the front clip specifically, a wooden wedge pre-fitted to the front coils at the park-up bay prior to boarding would be an easy task, similar removal once we dis-embarked at Devon port

All good saying that..but that's not gonna help with the plan to start a family within 2 yrs ...just gotta hope there wont be any clashes

 

Well in that case, keep them in the air, and if "Baby " decides too join us on the way down, you'll have plenty of help and probably lots of free boiling water

I recall in a post about needing to have the car in a "presentable state".

For the individual owners preference sure but there isn't a rule on attending zedfest where your car must be perfect and immaculate.

There is a good 18 months to go before Zedfest #7 kicks off, so it's a GREAT excuse to run a bevy of Tech. Dayz in your local areas, I reckon... That way you can all help each other to get your awesome pieces of machinery up to spec, and grab a hold of the Forum's amazing Community spirit whilst your at it! :zlove:

As for the focus here... Zedfest...

Zedmd and I attended our very first AUS300ZX cruise in the ACT in his Ford XF, and he, Saintz and I, our first Zedfest in Cowra sans-Zed's, too (Zedmd in a CB Lancer, and Saintz and I in a Land Rover Defender! )!

So...

Scratched... Dented... Dirty... Clean... Mismatched panels... Or Complete...

N/A... TT... Auto... Manual... Broken down... Something not-quite-right...Or mechanically sound...

New members... Established Members... J-Spec... Aus-Spec... 2 seater... 2+2... With a Zed... Or without a Zed...
